DELHI (1) –LUCKNOW (1) – AYODHYA – SHRAVASTI (1) – LUMBINI (1) - KUSHINAGAR (1) – PATNA (1) – RAJGIRI – BODHGAYA (2) – VARANASI (1) – DELHI (DEPARTURE)

DAY 1: ARRIVE DELHI

Arrive New Delhi  International Airport, Where you will be met by Oceantics Holidays representative,  and escorted to your hotel.

DAY 2: DISCOVER DELHI & FLY LUCKNOW

After breakfast, the tour guide will pick you up from the hotel and take you for a guided sightseeing of Old and New Delhi.

This tour includes the following places:

Jama Masjid: Jama Masjid is one of the country’s major mosques where hundreds and thousands of Muslims offer their prayers even today. Jama Masjid was constructed by Shah Jahan as an architectural extravaganza in 1658. The wonders of construction in Jama Masjid are seen in the long stretches of stairs and the hefty courtyard.

Raj Ghat: An elementary square platform of black marble on the banks of Yamuna River, symbolizes the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated after his assassination in 1948. A dedicatory ritual takes place each Friday, in his memory.

India Gate: India Gate is free-standing, 42 metre high arch. It was built in 1931 and was formerly called the All India War Memorial in the memory of the 90,000 soldiers of the Indian Army who died in World War I. The names of the warriors are engraved all along the walls of the arch. The eternal flame was lit here to honor the Amar Jawan (Immortal Soldier), in 1971.

Rashtrapati Bhavan (President’s House): Rashtrapati Bhavan is the authorized residence of the President of the country. It was designed by Lutyens and was the official residence of the Viceroy when the British ruled India.

Qutub Minar: This outstanding building in the Southern part of the capital was built by the Muslim King; Qutab–ud–din Aibak in 1199 A.D. The Minar (tower) is 72.5 meters tall and its base is a mosque.

Later transfer to Delhi airport to catch your fight to Lucknow.

Arrive Lucknow Airport, you will be met our representative and transfer to hotel in Lucknow.

In the evening explore Hazratganj, is the downtown and the main shopping centre of Lucknow, famous for Chikan: “Popular believed to be introduced by Nur Jehan, the Mughal empress exclusive chikankari is one of the most Lucknow’s culture famous textile decoration style. It is well known of hand crafted Chikan embroidery”, also famous for Silk and cotton fabrics and many more.

DAY 3: DRIVE LUCKNOW - VIA AYODHYA (THE LAND OF LORD SHRI RAM) - SHRAVASTI (231 KMS / 5.20 HRS)

After breakfast, check out from hotel and drive to Shravasti, Via Ayodhya (The Land of Lord Shri Ram).

Ayodhya: Ayodhya is a city situated on the banks of holy river Saryu. In the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, is one of the holiest cities of Hinduism and attracts thousands of pilgrims throughout the year. Ayodhya, also known as Saket, is an ancient city of India, is the birthplace of Bhagwan Shri Ram and setting of the great epic Ramayana.  Owing to the belief as the birthplace of Bhagwan Shri Ram, Ayodhya (Awadhpuri) has been regarded as first one of the seven most important pilgrimage sites (Mokshdayini Sapt Puris) for Hindus.

The city is dotted with temples, some of which are connected to the ghats (stepped banks of the river) of Saryu.  The city looks particularly glorious during Deepotsav, celebrated on the day of Diwali, during which lakhs of earthen lamps are lit. The sight of them floating on the Saryu is mesmerising. The best time to visit the city is during Diwali celebrations when temples are resplendent and streets are in full festive uproar. 

Visit, Shri Ram Temple, It is the name given to the site that many Hindus believe to be the birthplace of Rama, the 7th avatar of the Hindu deity Vishnu. Hanuman Gahri and Kanak Bhawan, are important Hindu temples we visit before lunch is taken at the temple complex of Kanak Bhawan ( Beverage Excluded ). After lunch we will reach Kanchan Bhawan the starting point of our Mokshdayani Walk.

Later on drive to Shravasti, It is a land associated with the life of Lord Bhuddha as it is the place where spent 24 monsoons of his life.

As you reach Sharavasti, check-in at hotel. After that visit some of the major attraction of Saravasti covering the ruins and relics of Jain and Buddhist temples, forts and stupas.

DAY 4: DRIVE SHRAVASTI – LUMBINI (154 KMS / 3.5 Hrs)

After breakfast, pick up from hotel for sightseeing tour of Shravasti, covering places like Mahaparinirvana Temple & Stupas. Also visit the Ananda Bodhi Tree and the Jetavana Monastery.

Later in the day start for Lumbini-the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Check-in at the upon arrival in Lumbini. In the evening pay a visit to the birth Place of Lord Buddha and the Maya Devi temple.

DAY 5: DRIVE LUMBINI – KUSHINAGAR (160 KMS / 3.45 HRS)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive straight to Kushinagar. Upon arrival, check-in at the  hotel.  Kushinagar is famous amongst the Buddhist devotees as the place Buddha finally attained Mahaparinirwana. After taking some rest, proceed to visit the Mukutbandan Stupa and a beautiful statue of the reclining Buddha. In the afternoon pay a visit to Niravana Temple Ramabhar Stupa, Crenation site of Lord Buddha.

DAY 6: DRIVE KUSHINAGAR – PATNA (211 KMS / 5.6 HRS)

After breakfast at the hotel, check out from hotel and straight drive to Patna. On the way visit Vaishali for sightseeing. On reaching Patna, check-in at the hotel. The rest of the day is to spend relaxing in the hotel. In the evening visit the Patna Sahib and Patna Museum.

DAY 7: DRIVE PATNA – RAJGIR - BODHGAYA (128 KMS / 3.55 HRS)

After breakfast, drive down to Bodhgaya. Place where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment.  On the way visit Nalanda & Rajgir. As you reach Bodhgaya, check-in at one of our enlisted hotels. Rest and relax till afternoon. In the afternoon after lunch embark on a visit to Niranjana River and the Sujata village.

DAY 8: DISCOVER BODHGAYA

After breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of Bodhgaya. Visit the major tourist attractions like Mahabodhi temple, the Vishnupad Mandir and the Bodhi tree. In the evening relax at the bank of Niranjana River.

DAY 9: DRIVE BODHGAYA - VARANASI (255 KMS / 5.44 HRS)

After breakfast, check out from hotel and drive to Varanasi.

After arrive in Varanasi, check in at hotel and freshen up.

 Later in the day enjoy a City tour of Varanasi which would cover places like the Bharat Mata Temple, Durga Temple, Tulsi Manas Mandir, Banaras Hindu University for visiting the Art Gallery and the Mosque of Mughal Emperor Aurangazeb. Be a part of the evening Aarti rituals being performed at the bank of the Ganges and feel blessed.

DAY 10: FLY VARANASI – DELHI (DEPARTURE)

In the morning enjoy the boat ride in the holy river Ganges on a visit to bathing ghats. After breakfast, set off for an excursion to Sarnath, the buried Buddhist city.

Later on departure transfer to the airport to catch your flight to Delhi or onwards destination.
