Navara Kizhi is an Ayurvedic treatment used to nourish and strengthen the joints, muscles and soft tissue while providing relief from pain.

Njavarakizhi also known as Shashtikashali Pinda Swedana, is a massage therapy used in Ayurveda to tone and strengthen the muscles and enhance nerve conductivity. Njavarakizhi treatment is a unique therapy that has its origins in Kerala. Njavara is a Malayalam word which is a special type of rice (Oryza sativa) used in the therapy. Kizhi means bolus or a poultice referring to a cloth ball. Navara Kizhi treatment makes use of rice that is cooked and filled in a cotton bolus. Medicated oil is applied to the bolus and this is used to massage the body gently to create sweat. The Navarakizhi in Ayurveda treatment helps to remove toxins from the body and is helpful in providing relief from stress.
